BAXTER, Stanley Parr ( - ) - Peacefully on Monday, July 11 Stanley passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 15 at p.m.
He is survived by his three sons, Gary, Ron (Darlene) and Brian (Debbie); five grandchildren, Heather (Mauricio), Brad (Tannis), Ryan, Tyler and Branden; six great-grandchildren, Gillian, Cody, Travis, Jade, April and Lilliana. at Glen Eden Funeral Home with interment to follow.
He will be missed by his grandchildren Christopher, Leigh and Patricia (Adam). Beloved husband of Marie-Laure Crevier-Manard and by a previous marriage the late Hilda Doe. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South. He lived by the motto "Don't Quit." He was an authority on the stock market, politics, construction, apple propagation, and life in general.
Predeceased by his brother Lloyd and sister in law Elaine. Dear father of Rose Noseworthy (Penny Murphy) of Montreal and Debbie (Mrs. Loving grandfather of Brian, Jason and Tammy Noseworthy, Jessie and Erica Gemmill. Dad was proud of his family, his orchard and all that he worked at.
After graduation, he joined the Canadian Navy serving in WWII.
He and Kaye would move to Massena in 1956 to construct and operate the Highland Hotel which would subsequently become the Highland Nursing Home.
Interment will take place later in the parish cemetery. Catharines, where the family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The strength of the force with which he lived was equaled only by his love for his wife Kaye and his four children: Leslie, Gretchen, Elizabeth and Edward Jr.
